Watercolor painting conceived  from a chinese proverb"Life cannot always be a feast of lanterns"

Italian Hill Town using hand dyed rice paper, watercolor. This reminds me of the bright colors everywhere on the Amalfi coast.

Medieval Fortress--Using hand stained washi paper,
a collage showing a medieval fortress in Italy.
The strong verticals and the muted colors appeal to me.

Chimeras--Dragon flies denote longevity. This painting contains acrylic, watercolor, and oil pastels.

The Road Home--Hand dyed washi paper showing the roads of life.

 Kimono Series 2--Collage

 Abstract Waterfall--Acrylic

All of these paintings are in private collections.

Leeks and Onions-Watercolor. I love the abstract, organic shapes of the vegetables.

Canyons of the Mind-Acrylic using hand carved

stamps to layer over collage and other images.

Received an Honorable Mention Award in recent League of Reston Artists show.

 Flower Power-Oil--the bright red poppies

against the yellow background vibrate.

Kimono Series1-- I am fascinated by the lovely

complexities of the Kimono. This painting is

quite large and combines acrylic with hand

carved stamps.
